Thunderbird — 6 steps, ~2 minutes
- 1
Open Thunderbird and click the menu button in the top right (or Tools, on the classic menu bar).
- 2
Select Account Settings.
- 3
In the left panel, select the account this signature is for.
- 4
Check the "Use HTML" box above the Signature text field.
- 5
Paste your signature's HTML source code into the Signature text field.
- 6
Click OK to save.
Good to know
- Check "Use HTML" before you paste. Paste first and check the box after, and Thunderbird may try to interpret plain text as HTML and render it wrong.
- Thunderbird sets signatures up per account, so repeat these steps for every address you send from.
- If you reply to a message that's plain text, Thunderbird automatically converts your HTML signature to a plain-text equivalent — links and images won't carry over there, which is expected.
